Village is well under way in the big area and we have some more ideas for different games to mix things up a little. I may post pics of the village on here if I can find my wire to get pics off the phone. Lots of interest already in this one, plus its Gregs birthday so i'm assuming he wll be bringing some friends along.

Stolen Paintball gun has been
Returned to us by the Police

For those of you lucky enough to witness the trauma of the last Walk on, when Greg's Red & Silver Ion was taken from the site. Today we were visited by the South Yorkshire Constabulary after a newspaper article was printed in the Barnsley Chronicle in relation to the theft. An unnamed man contacted the Police to say he was in possession of the Gun and had found it in some grass while out with his Girlfriend (ohhh errr).. Whether these are the same people the guys on the quads said they saw trespassing is undetermined. We offered the person who handed it in a free days Paintballing, but they declined to pass us thier details when contacted by the Police. The main thing is it has been returned. So a cheery end to the saga!
And Greg is over the moon to get it back.

Sorry to the people who had their day cut short with the search. I hope its something we never have to go through again. And the moral of the story is look after your own equipment and don't rely on others to watch over your stuff.... they have their own to look after.

Please read below booking procedure and paint reservation as explained before.

And as you are aware we cancelled last months walk on because not enough people responded so get your email sent/text call us whatever so we can get the numbers varifired.

Pete's leaving us forever to go shoot
Kangaroos in Australia so we need
to give him a good send off. Information will be updated here for special stuff related to this walkon. Should be some good changes to the arenas for this one as we've been let loose with a digger so fox holes are popping up all over the place. :-).

If anyone is interested a trip to the pub
may be in order after the walk on.

Also there will be a complimentary
pint of Carling for each player (after we've
played and age permitting of course).

In light of the successful walk on (thanks to all of you that showed up, we all had a great time and fun was had by all), there will be no serious overhaul to the booking structure as previously feared. The only concern is the pre order of paintballs was not adhered to and was oversubscribed. So a new easy guide to walk on booking structure, paintball purchase and site equipment pre order is listed below.

Ordering paintballs for walk on
Orders for paintballs for the walk on will be taken up until 11 am on the Wednesday prior to a walk on, we need quantities and names for each box. Once ordered you are committed to purchase said box or bag and your name will be placed on the paintballs to avoid them been sold on the day.

Disappointing turn out last walk on, it is imperative that all people wanting to attend use the email voting to the right hand side or give us a call to let us know if you are turning up and if you will need paintballs. We are all too often buying in food and paintballs and people not turning up. We will run this one as normal as we already have some promising figures for this next one with lots of enquiries. But if things don't improve we will have to consider pre purchase entry system for the current price list and anyone turning up out of the blue will have a penalty charge. This we really don't want to have to do but it may be necessary to guarantee figures as its not fair on the people that do turn up when we have a low turn out.

Cheers hope to see you there

Monthly News 20/05/06

New walk on date published for the 4th June.
Nothing to report since last one as yet, watch this space.

Monthly News 20/04/06

Hi guys. As you can see the next walk on is up there, please respond if you are to attend using the email vote, sorry its a funny time of the month we are going to try make it the last Sunday of the month so we dont conflict with other walk ons but unfortunately i'm away on holiday and its not possible this time. Speed ball is looking much better since the dry spell and its been rolled down with a tractor so should be much more playable than last time.

Monthly News 19/03/06

April 2nd next one. As there are quite a few of us turning up these days it is becoming more important that the people using air really do need to think about purchasing their own dive tank. We only have 4 on site and at the moment it does not cost to fill, However academy divers are placing a charge on filling each bottle soon so not only is air going to be in short supply but their will be a charge on filling up. This does not affect co2 users or people loaning bottles to the site. If you need a dive tank I suggest the 232bar 15ltr faber tank that academy divers at Wakefield can supply you for around £135. Their tel. number is 01924 366 111. In addition to the tank you will need a fill rig, that can be purchased from most good Paintball suppliers. Also i was thinking it may be a good idea to start doing a second hand paintball stall on walk on day, you could bring items down that you want to sell with your name and a price on it then place items on a table for people to browse. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.
