Do I need to book?

You definitely need to book. We do not cater for players just turning up at the site as we allocate equipment around our sites according to players booked in. Please try and book as far in advance as you can - we will always try to accommodate players up to a week before you want to play - but once all our guns are booked up…. We are full!

Do I need to bring a large group or can I just bring a couple of friends?

We need a group of 10 or more to activate a paintball day. If there is less than ten it may be possible to join you up with another group but then you may not get the date you were hoping as we are only on site when there is an active booking.

How much deposit do I need to pay?

We need £50 deposit to secure your day, however you must confirm you groups numbers no later than the Tuesday before the weekend you are coming to play.

And how much will it all cost?

Paintballing is not a cheap sport but our motto is "lets make it as cost effective to our customers as possible" the following example will give you a good idea of how much each person would spend on a typical paintballing day at our site on the all inclusive package.

Don't forget we will match any deal by any paintball site in a 20 mile radius. Proof of deal would be required.

 How do I book

You need to call one of the numbers on the contacts section of the website or email us with your details. Once we have checked availability of a date and if it is available a £50 deposit will then be required to secure your date. If you have a group of 20-30 players you can ask for the site to be dedicated to yourselves for the day so nobody but your group would be playing on that day. 

We currently only operate on a weekend but it may be possible to accommodate you during the week under certain circumstances. An immediate decision on a weekday may not be available straight away as Marshals etc. need to be contacted to check availability. Start and finish times are also limited during the week to 11am-3.30pm.
- WEEKDAY PRICES -  15 to 30 players minimum and prices are £40 per ticket with 500 inclusive paintballs. This is the only package available during weekdays (full kit deal no lunch £4 per 100 paintballs).

What time should I turn up?

We will be on site from 9.30am setting up but would not be able to deal with anybody until 10.15am so that is the best time to show. We aim to start play at 11am.

What should I wear?

You are going to be running around in the woods. You will get dirty! So wear old clothes and trainers or walking boots. We do provide overalls but it can be muddy so we advise against wearing white or light colours.


Can I bring my own paintballs?

Absolutely not. Only paintballs sold on site may be used on that game day. In this way we can ensure that they not only meet all insurance and health and safety standards but are also fully biodegradable. So for safety reasons any players bringing their own paintballs onto site will be immediately ejected from the site - No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

Is there a minimum age for paintball?

The absolute minimum legal age for paintball in the UK is twelve years old and that is what we allow at Barnsley Paintball. However, some sites have higher age limits. Unfortunately age limits are not flexible as they are set by Insurance Regulators, Government Bodies and the HSE. insurance regulation. In any event all players under sixteen will need written parental consent to go paintballing.

How many games will we play?

We aim to complete 10 games during the day. Each game will last from 10 - 20 min. 

How many paintballs will I need?

Obviously this varies from player to player and is very dependant on your style of play. However, the average amount of paintballs used on a full day is between 800 and 1000.  Average of 100 paintballs per game.
